Making my projector wall look good without messing it up

When I 1st got my projector, I thought the hardest part would be setting it up. Turns out, figuring out the right paint for the wall is just as tricky. The image looks decent but I don't want to mess up the clarity by picking the wrong shade or finish. I'm happy to be here and hope to get some no-nonsense advice from everyone.
