Colors look faded on my new projector

I just set up my BenQ V6000 in a bright room but the colors look kind of dull. I’m projecting onto a plain white wall. Do I need a special screen to make the picture look better? Please help, we're having a movie night soon!

A plain white wall works in a pinch. But in bright rooms, an ALR screen really helps boost contrast and color. Is the wall glossy or matte? Welcome to the forum!
