I'm setting up a home theater with a wall-mounted screen, and the projector will be about 12.5 feet away. I'm running all the wires now, like speaker wire and a 20-foot HDMI cable, and could use some advice. What's a good 4K projector in the $3,000 to $4,000 range? Also, what kind of fixed screen works best for this setup? Should I go fiber optic or CL-2 for the long HDMI cable? Any recommendations for good in-wall speakers?

Appreciate the recos everyone

I think Epson 5050UB or Sony VPL-VW295ES are good projector choices. For the screen, get a 120 acoustically transparent one if you plan to put your speakers behind it. If not, a regular screen is okay. Since it's a long distance, use a fiber optic HDMI cable from Ruipro or Monoprice. For in-wall speakers, check out Polk RC80i or Klipsch R-5650-W.

JVC LX-NZ30 is a great 4K pick with strong contrast and HDR, pair it with a fixed ALR/CLR screen like CineGrey or Black Diamond if you’ve any ambient light. For a 20 ft run, an active or fiber HDMI is best so you don’t lose signal

Planning to set up a movie room in my basement. I'm looking at the Epson 5050UB and want to hide the speakers behind the screen. Do the Polk or Klipsch speakers work with Atmos or are they just for regular sound? And how much space do we need behind the screen to fit the speakers?
