I'm picking between the Epson 5050UB and the LG HU80KA for my home theater. Got a light-controlled room and a 130" screen. Which one's the better fit?

Epson's 5050UB is king of contrast... deep blacks, HDR pop, classic home theater vibes. The LG HU80KA wins for convenience with built-in smart TV apps and plug-and-play setup, but it struggles with black depth, so your dark scenes might look flat.

Given your setup, a dedicated, light-controlled room and a large 130" screen—the choice is clear. The Epson 5050UB is the better fit for your home theater.

They are right! I would go for the Epson 5050UB. My buddy is using the Epson 5050UB for his home theater and the contrast is great!

I game and stream on weekends. Does either model handle fast motion well? I’ve heard some projectors struggle with input lag or motion blur.
