Ultra short‑throw projector for a clean setup

I’m trying to declutter my living room and ditch the giant TV. Ultra short‑throw projectors look perfect, but I’ve heard mixed things about brightness in daylight. Anyone here using one in a bright room? Does it hold up or wash out?
