Hi! New BenQ TK710 owner here and excited! and I have some questions about setting it up. Can I put the projector upside down on a shelf? Any tips to make it safe?

or if I do the ceiling mount thing, how much damage does ceiling mounting usually cause? need it to be rental friendly! Thanks!

Yeah you can set it upside down on a shelf as long as its stable and the vents arent blocked. Some foam or padding on the corners helps. Ceiling mountings nice since you can adjust the angle better. For rentals, it's usually just a couple of holes... nothing worse than hanging a picture. Bit of spackle when you leave and its fine.I did it in my last place and no one cared

Yep, you can shelf it upside down, but it has to be stable, well ventilated, and not blocking the lens.

Yes, you can put it upside down, but be careful! and, you know that projectors often have an inverted or ceiling mount setting in their menu to flip the image correctly. The TK710 has this

make sure to use anchors that are rated correctly along with a compatible mount, and don't forget those foam pads to help cut down on vibration. Also, activate the projector's "ceiling mount" flip feature to keep your image perfectly aligned
