Help Me Pick a Projector

I am trying to pick a projector for a small room. My throw distance is about 9.5 fee, so I do not want a short-throw model. I want to put the projector on a shelf above my head. I would prefer to just angle it down a bit rather than mount it upside down.

My friend has a VAVA 4K projector and I like the picture quality. My screen is only 65 in, so I am not sure if 4K is worth it. Would I even be able to tell the difference between 4K and 1080p at that size? I found three projectors that fit. But I am open to other ideas.

Don't sink all the cash into 4K unless you plan on going bigger. On a 65" you'll barely notice the pixels. I'd lean Epson 2250, put the extra money into a better screen or blackout curtains. That'll improve your picture more than resolution.

The BenQ HT5550 gives you more wiggle room with lens shift and better color if you're shelf mounting. Just wondering, will you be using it mainly for movies or gaming too?

Helping my brother set up his first home theater and we’re planning to use it for both movies and console gaming. He’s big on action films and I’m more into RPGs, so we’re trying to find a projector that handles fast motion well without lag. Does the HT5550 do okay with input delay for gaming or is it more tuned for cinema use?
