DLP Projector bad display

First post ever! Help me guys... So I have this projector that doesnt project anything useful at all, just plain white screen. Sometimes when turned on, it only shows grey smudge on the right and the rest is just some blinking soft colored linears. I'm thinking cable connector, but before I try anything, I'd like to ask for your inputs.

Maybe a loose HDMI or source issue, sure, but the gray smudge and blinking lines could also point to something deeper, like a cooked mainboard or failed DLP chip, I'd definitely try another input and cable first, maybe even another source device, just to rule out the basics

for me, it sounds like DMD chip Failure. This is a very common cause for a white screen or large smudges/dead pixels on DLP projectors.
The Digital Micromirror Device chip contains millions of tiny mirrors. When these mirrors get stuck in the "on" position, they project white light. If some are stuck or failing, you get smudges or lines
