Trying to rig up a 150" DIY projector screen on a stand, and I'm already running into the classic problem: sag. I want it stretched tight like a proper frame, but most DIY stands I've seen look like wrinkled sails after a week. Velcro straps sound convenient, but on vertical poles they'll just slip down unless you anchor them. Tape isn't going to hold long-term. Zip ties work better for tension, but then you're cutting and redoing them every time. So what's the real trick here? Do people add stoppers/clamps on the poles, or is the only real solution to build a rigid frame where the grommets get pulled evenly all the way around? I'd rather not waste time with half-measures if the end result is always going to sag.
