Best paint for a simple home theater wall

I'm not trying to overthink this. I just need to paint my projector wall paint screen without hassle. The wall is drywall, mostly smooth, but has some filler spots. Silver Screen is a good choice, but there are different types, and I have no idea if flat or satin makes a difference. Projector is 3000 lumens and works fine, but we want something that keeps the picture crisp. Would appreciate any quick recommendations before heading to Home Depot.

For a crisp picture, especially if you're rocking a bright 3000-lumen projector, go with a flat finish. Satin can be too reflective and reveal every little imperfection on your wall. A great, cheap choice is Behr Silver Screen in flat

Will you be watching in a dark room, or will there be some light? That could change what works best

Something that will reduce glare and will keep the images sharp, i'd take it anytime. Just checked out Behr Silver Screen, that looks good!

The flat versus satin explanation was the main point I was hung up on. Great to know the flat finish will hide those filler spots better. The room is usually dark but some light can spill in from the hallway. @LightBeam

Silver is the way to go and the most important thing to remember is to never ever consider anything that's even a bit shiny. It's going to reflect in all the bad ways you'll want to avoid.

Go with FLAT paint! Satin has a sheen that can cause glare and hot spots, especially with a 3000 lumen projector. Flat will give you a much more uniform and crisp picture.

Thank you both for the additional confirmation on using a flat finish. Your advice matches what I learned here from the earlier responses in June. I've already completed the project with that paint and the picture is much more crisp. @Respawningthroughlife @BoldCreations
