my Panasonic PT L701E projector screen blue

My ex got me this (year 2000) Panasonic PTL701E projector for my birthday. It worked well until yesterday, when it was shutting off, but I fixed it by resoldering a broken fan connector.

Now it has a noticeable blue tint, especially when it's hot.
I've cleaned it and tried to keep it cool, but the tint remains.

I wonder if it's a dead/misaligned LCD panel or the old lamp (3190+ hours).
I can't afford a new lamp or projector right now and am willing to try risky repairs.

I also assume a new color prism would be expensive and hard to find.
Does anyone here know what the possible causes of projector screen blue are?

Ok the blue tint might be that the red or green LCD panel is already failing or is misaligned. Or the polarizer filter might be degraded too. Make sure you try adjusting the panel alignment then you could go see. I don't suppose you wanna take some risk and investigate the LCD panels and polarizers on your own though.

THis happened to my sister's projector. we just replaced it. What @OHP advised is good but yep, it's risky

Too risky. I'd bring it to a repair shop just to get it checked before I touch anything on it. hope you got this resolved already

It's not likely the lamp, those usually just get dim, not weird colors.

Actually they can. With age and with over 3k hours it's quite old, the color temps can shift and cause this problem. @BoldCreations does the blue tins happen instantly after startup or only after it warms up? It could be a colling related problem.
