Got a BenQ TK850 in my garage and it’s getting really hot especially when I play games for a long time. The room doesn’t have much airflow so I’m thinking about adding a fan or making holes in the cabinet to help cool it down. Has anyone had this problem in a garage setup? Any tips or ideas for keeping it cool or switching to a quieter projector is appreciated!

Same issue here. I mounted mine with open airflow and added a quiet PC fan behind it. You could also look into projectors with LED or laser light sources if you want less heat and noise.

for a quieter, lower heat LED you should check out BenQ HT2060, but for playing games I recommend benq x3100I

bro, you need to have a proper airflow. it's important to have at least 10-50 cm of clearance around the vents, place it on a hard surface (not a soft rug or carpet), and keep the vents clean
